"U.S. Senators' Aides in N. Korea Amid Nuclear Impasse"

Followup to KR posting, Concrete Steps Toward Nuclear Disarmament in North Korea

In addition to several visits to North Korea by the staff of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, now the staff of the Armed Services Committee are in North Korea. This visit is remarkable in that the discussions may expand beyond the nuclear issue to broader regional security issues. The visit follows a Pyongyang visit last month by Keith Luse, a staffer for Senator Richard Lugar, a Republican and a member of the Foreign Relations Committee.
