Report and Photos of Yongbyun Nuclear Disablement Process
See Stanford University's coverage of Prof. Siegfried Hecker's Feb. 2008 trip to North Korea, with photographs of the disablement process at the Yongbyon nuclear complex, which is a part of the six-party efforts at nuclear disarmament and normalization of relations. The trip, which was accompanied by a State Department official and a Congressional staffer, also involved discussions on formalizing health and educational exchanges between the two nations, suggesting opportunities for additional bilateral efforts beyond the nuclear disarmament issue.
