Korea-Japan Peace Tunnel?

Japanese lawmakers have proposed an underwater railway tunnel linking Japan to Korea. If this is meant to symbolize peaceful ties between Korea and Japan by overcoming historical animosities and the expansion of multilateral economic cooperation in Northeast Asia, Japan would need to make amends with North Korea by moving forward in its deadlocked normalization process. Without North Korea-Japan normalization, the prospects for uninterrupted raliway linking from Tokyo to London, using the revitalized inter-Korean railway, would be dim.
